We place a high professional value on adaptations being made to provision such that pupils with varying needs can be supported to learn and thrive. A implied view of this is here and a more detailed document, which teachers can use to support their planning, is listed below.
Our Six Key Adaptations
Adaptive and Responsive Teaching have been key features of our ongoing commitment to school improvement. This is underpinned by our 6 key adaptations which run as an inclusive thread throughout our curriculum.
Routes 2 Inclusion
Following our conversion to a Multi-Academy Trust, school has benefited from the Routes 2 Inclusion Pathway. Routes 2 Incluson or R2i is "an inclusive framework for the identification, assessment and intervention of children presenting with SEND, including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. It aims to promote inclusion, build capacity and help to identify the children who most need targeted support."
Our Sensory Room
Our recently-installed Sensory Room forms a key part of our SEND provision on The Hill. It provides a space for pupils to co-regulate and explore their senses as well as offering a calming and regulating place in which to complete learning tasks with adult support.
Additional Provision
The Hive and Honeypot are our dedicated spaces in our provision which provide additional support to pupils. It is supported by a team of Teaching Assistant and overseen by the SENCO. It offers opportunities to support pupils' SEMH needs. The Hub is a dedicated space in our KS2 provisi…
